Class and Group Curriculum
Dr. Westmoreland’s book contains biblical insights and applications that can be taught very effectively in classes and groups. All of us enjoy some relationships and struggle with others. This curriculum is designed to encourage us to look intently at Jesus’ example of how he related to twelve types of people—the same types we meet every day. The book is written for business and church leaders, but it is easily adapted for a wide audience. 13 Weeks of ContentThe curriculum contains handouts for 13 weeks of content. You can use these handouts as they are written, or you can adapt them to fit your particular audience and your teaching style. The lessons are designed to be 40 minutes long. Some classes and groups use a few minutes at the beginning for announcements, introductions, or refreshments. And some use a few minutes at the beginning or the end for prayer requests. The handouts combine a note-taking outline for lecture content and discussion questions for group interaction. If your class is large, you may want to form groups of four or five to discuss each of the questions. In most cases, however, you can pose those questions to the whole class and get several responses. The handouts are in Word format, so you can adapt them if you choose.
